EU-SIMET2021 will be held on the PheedLoop virtual events platform. PheedLoop offers a variety of options for real-time interaction similar to an in-person conference, including context-aware text chat, video calls between participants or groups, and more.
During the main conference days (September 13 – 15), speakers will participate in live discussions and Q&A sessions with the audience. These discussion sessions will include all the speakers from a session and will be moderated by a Chairman/Chairwoman.
Poster session: Posters will be available on-demand to registered conference attendees. Conference attendees will be encouraged to visit the Poster Hall during the Poster Sessions. Authors can solve the questions that come in through the chat and will be able to have live video conversations with many attendees at once, in groups. Click “Join Live” and connect with poster authors.
Pre-recorded presentations and posters will remain available to registered attendees for two weeks after the conference, until September 30, so that all registered attendees will be able to revisit the sessions and catch up with the talks they've missed.
As with an in-person conference, participants can build their own schedule, participate in all sessions, and switch from session to session at will.
Oral Presentations
Oral presentations will be assigned to sessions based on the topic. During the main conference days, contributed sessions will be given 20-minute time slots for live stream Q&A and discussion with the audience – these time slots are only for discussion and will not include presentations, all presentations will be pre-recorded and available for conference delegates to watch on their own schedule, resulting in more time for audience participation with speakers. Pre-recorded content will be available to conference delegates starting September 10.
Audience questions will be facilitated through questions submitted via text in the chat. A session moderator will be assigned to each session to help guide the conversation; we also encourage all speakers to plan on watching the other talks from their sessions to better understand your session’s theme.
Uploading Recordings – New Deadline: August 20
All contributed oral presentations are required to be pre-recorded and uploaded in advance of the conference to be included in the programme (deadline July 30). The time limit is 12 minutes for oral presentations.
Log-in information will be sent to you from no-reply@pheedloop.com by September 10 (keep an eye on your Spam folder). SERE2021 will be held on the PheedLoop virtual events platform. Speakers will also receive access to a separate speaker portal to manage their session information.
