Abstract Guidelines

Abstract submission now open

The Scientific Committee is pleased to invite authors to submit their abstracts to be delivered at the 5th European Meeting of the International Society for Microbial Electrochemistry and Technology (ISMET).

Deadline for abstract submission is May 31, 2021

Abstracts of oral and poster presentations should be maximum of 200 words in English.

You may provide up to five keywords.

Figures may be inserted, provided that the size of the whole document (text plus figure) does not exceed one page. Figures and tables should be less than 4 cm in height. If two or more figures or tables are included, please arrange them in parallel horizontally.

It is the responsibility of the author(s) to ensure that the abstract text does not contain typos or grammatical errors.

No changes can be made after the abstract has been submitted.

Note that logging within the electronic platform is required prior to abstract submission.

During the abstract submission process, you will be asked to choose between oral and poster presentation. As the number of oral presentations at the Conference is limited, authors submitting abstracts for oral presentation may, in some cases, be invited to present a poster instead.

Please select the most appropriate topic from the list in the submission form. 

Abstracts will be reviewed by members of the Scientific Committee with regard to scientific quality and relevance to the Conference. Notification of acceptance or rejection of abstracts will be issued by 21st June 2021.

Note: Only accepted abstracts whose presenter registration is paid will be included in the final Conference Programme.

Presenters will receive a confirmation message upon submission of a proposal. If for some reason you do not receive this confirmation, please contact to confirm that the abstract was received.
